Content Contributor
Content contributors help generate article ideas, and write articles, to be published across The Empire City Wire. Content contributors will also serve to review and edit pre-existing articles or article drafts before they are published.
Content contributors will be responsible for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which is a way of optimizing articles and website content to generate as many visitors to the website as possible.
Content contributors will also be responsible for learning how to access and use our webhost, Squarespace, which is used by a variety of other online periodicals and magazines like Harper’s Bazaar.
Social Media Manager
A social media manager is responsible for creating, curating, and managing our organization's social media presence. They develop strategies to engage the target audience, build brand awareness, and drive traffic to the company's website or platforms.
A social media manager will be responsible for repurposing new or existing content on the website, like articles, to be released across social media platforms.
Between HPG Networks (our sister website) and The Empire City Wire, we have social media accounts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and TikTok.
Commission Based Sales
As an Independent Contractor doing commission based sales your role exists to pitch and sell our advertising package to prospective clients. Commission Based Sales Representatives give presentations and demonstrate or sell products or services to potential buyers.
This role is strictly commission based, there is no base salary. Independent Contractors working on behalf of our online properties with prospective clients will receive a portion of the publishing fee as compensation once clients make a purchase.
